About Sara

Professionally, I have an extensive experience studying, evaluating, and understanding human behavior. I also have extensive experience in teambuilding, through consistent leadership and understanding. This complements UX Understanding and development. Personally, I have an extensive background in the arts, with 9 years of art training in a private studio, allowing for UI understanding. I have designed previously designed sites for nonprofits and my current company employee pages through freelance design work. To tie this all together, I am presently completing a UX UI Certificate through The Ohio State University, allowing for all passions to intersect.
My Skills & Education
I consider my background as a practiced school psychologist to be one of my most unique and effective strengths in the UX field, as UX draws on a variety of cognitive psychology, emotional, and motivational factors that are integral in psychological practice. Both UX/UI design and psychology involve research and analysis of human behavior. UX/UI designers conduct user research to gain insights into how people use products. UX/UI design focuses on designing products and interfaces that meet the needs of users, sharing a human-centered design approach with psychology that prioritizes empathy and understanding the needs of the end-user. UX/UI design recognizes the importance of emotions and motivation in shaping user behavior. By understanding the emotional and motivational factors that drive user behavior, designers can create products that are more engaging and effective. Overall, UX/UI design and psychology are both concerned with understanding and addressing the needs of humans, and both draw on a range of principles and research to achieve this goal.
